1. Introduction
Welcome to Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV). These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for students, parents, and staff to ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive educational environment.
2. Admission Policy
- Eligibility: Admission is open to girls from disadvantaged groups, including SC, ST, OBC, and minority communities, as well as girls from Below Poverty Line (BPL) families.
- Age Limit: Girls aged 10-14 years are eligible for admission in upper primary classes (Class VI-VIII).
- Application Process: Parents/guardians must complete the admission form and submit the required documents, including proof of age, caste certificate (if applicable), and income certificate.
3. Fees and Funding
- Free Education: Education at KGBV is provided free of cost, including free textbooks, uniforms, and mid-day meals.
- Residential Facilities: Hostel facilities are provided free of cost for girls who need them.
4. Attendance
- Regular Attendance: Students are required to attend school regularly and punctually. Attendance is crucial for academic progress.
- Leave of Absence: Parents/guardians must inform the school of any planned absences in advance. Absences due to illness must be accompanied by a medical certificate.
- Consequences: Prolonged or frequent unexcused absences may result in counseling sessions and discussions with parents/guardians to address underlying issues.
5. Code of Conduct
- Respect and Behavior: Students must show respect to teachers, staff, and fellow students. Any form of bullying, harassment, or violence is strictly prohibited.
- Dress Code: Students are required to wear the prescribed school uniform during school hours and maintain personal hygiene.
- Discipline: Misbehavior or violation of school rules will be addressed through appropriate disciplinary actions, which may include counseling, parental involvement, or other measures as deemed necessary by the school administration.
